A Community Dance Projekt from "DE LooPERS-dance2gether" and "HUMAN International Culture Project". Homage an die Menschenrechten. Premiere in Bremen, Germany, with a group of 30 Community Dance dancers.
Composition: Helge Burggrabe. Choreography: Wilfried van Poppel and Amaya Lubeigt. Assistants: Nanni Kloke, Trinidad Castillo, Susan Barnet. Orchestra: Kammerensemble Konsonanz. Dirigent: Julio Fernandez
With two sold-out performances and standing ovations, HUMAN celebrated its world premiere at the Bremen Theatre on the last weekend in August! Music and dance melted into one and told of the highs and lows of human life in rousing and touching images. The Konsonanz chamber ensemble, Elbtonal Percussion and pianist John Kameel Farah interpreted Helge Burggrabe's HUMAN orchestral work with great colourfulness under conductor Julio Fernández. The choreography staged basic themes of being human in poetic and impressive images. The audience was enthusiastic and touched, thanking them with never ending applause. Both the audience and the performers were happy that an evening like this was possible again after a long cultural break - and with such a message!
Worldwide, the HUMAN CD/Vinyl was released the day before by the Edel Music/Neue Meister label.
