Dance theatre – productions for a young audience
DE LooPERS develops Dance and Movement theatre productions with professional dancers for a young audience. We offer the possibility to present these productions in Theaters as well as in Schools. Along with school performances, workshops connected with the performances are being offered.
Jugendtanz Company – dance theatre productions with young people
The Youth Company from DE LooPERS ( age 14 up to 25 years old) also creates exciting productions. These productions are being developed under professional conditions are are as such presented.

DE LooPERS is in figurative way of speaking, a place where dancers and choreographers meet, and where they explore different facets of dance- and movement theatre
“Five days to dance” – School projects, or week projects
DE LooPERS creates choreographies with students, with the aim to bring young people in contact with modern dance, music and art as participant / dancer, and as audience as well.
DE LooPERS wants to take the skills of young people seriously, strengthen their self-confidence, their cooperation skills and promote their cultural and artistic understanding. Dance together with respect, understanding and tolerance. Young people are shaping the future and can change this future in a positive way.
The Team
Wilfried van Poppel (Netherlands)
Der ehemalige Tänzer des Bremer Tanztheaters Wilfried van Poppel war auch lange als freischaffender Tänzer, Pantomimespieler und Choreograf tätig in Holland, den USA und Deutschland.1993 wurde er ausgezeichnet von der 1. World Dance Congress in San Francisco, für seinen Beitrag an den Kunstform Tanz.
Von 1994 bis 2000 war er als Tänzer beim Bremer Tanztheater unter der Leitung von Susanne Linke engagiert. Seit 2000 choreografiert er hauptsächlich für und mit Kindern und Jugendlichen. ( u.a beim MOKS am Bremer Theater) 2003 gründete er DE LooPERS Tanztheater für Kinder und Jugendliche.
Er war Initiator und Projektleiter von Dance4Life Deutschland, künstlerischer Leiter von ACT Bremen, arbeitete für das Musikzentrum des Rundfunks in Hilversum, mit Royston Maldoom und mit den Wiener Philharmonikern / Salzburger Festspiele.
Wilfried choreografierte Kinderproduktionen und Weihnachtsmärchen am Theatern in Bremen, Klagenfurt und Braunschweig.
Seine Projekten und Produktionen waren in mehrere Ländern zu sehen und er unterrichtete an Schulen, Universitäten und Tanzstudios in u.a. Holland, Deutschland, Mexico, Spanien, Italien, Süd Korea und Palästina.
Amaya Lubeigt (Spain)
Geboren wurde Amaya Lubeigt in San Sebastian, Spanien. Von 1985-88 studierte sie Modernen Tanz am Instituto de Teatro y Danza in Barcelona und von 1988-91 an der Folkwang Hochschule Essen. Im Anschluss folgte ein zweijähriges Studium bei dem Choreographen und Tanzpädagogen Jean Cébron von 1991 bis 1993.
Zwischen 1989 und 1994 gastierte Amaya Lubeigt beim Essener Ballett, beim Folkwang Tanzstudio (FTS) und bei Wuppertaler Tanztheater (Pina Bausch). Von 1992 bis 2007 arbeitete sie mit den Choreographen Susanne Linke und Urs Dietrich, zuerst beim FTS, in Essen, und seit 1994/95 bis Sommer 2007 beim Bremer Tanztheater.
Seit 2008 arbeitet Amaya mit “DE LooPERS-Tanztheater” für Kinder und Jugendliche, als Tänzerin und als künstlerische und choreografische Assistentin von “DE LooPERS-Dance2gether” in veschiedenen Tanzprojekten.
In April 2014 wurde Amaya ausgezeichnet mit dem “Premio Dedicación a la Danza” von der Asosiación de Profesionales de Danza de Guipuzcao, in San Sabastián, Spanien.

Kim Maiteny (Spain)
was born in San Sebastian and during her early years, she studied classical and jazz dance in Fagoaga Dance School -school owned by her family-. She complemented these courses with workshops and regular courses of other disciplines -contemporary, oriental and tap dance amongst others.
She studied Education at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) and in 2012 se moved to Barcelona. She then studied degrees in both Educational and Preventive Psychomotricity and Systemic Pedagogy and deepened in her jazz, contemporary and oriental dance skills with teachers such as Máximo Hita, Anne Morin or Rachida Aharrat. She has worked as a predance, jazz dance, dance technic skills and oriental dance teacher.
She currently works as a family-specialized psychomotricist within the project Anima’t, juga amb ells; as pedagogy counselor in Gugan, a social and cultural association; in the dance section of Whyviolence, a project by Con·nectats and as an assistant teacher in projects by DE-LooPERS-dance2gether.
